Kim is a mental health nurse specializing in adult and geriatric care, with more than 30 years experience in the field. She has extensive experience screening, assessing, and completing capacity assessment reports for vulnerable adults with suspected diminished decision-making ability, both in the hospital and community settings.
Kim has provided guidance and training about the capacity assessment process and framework to over 100 allied health professionals and physicians within Alberta, and has held the following roles related to decision-making capacity during her career:
Kim is a graduate of the University of Alberta's Nursing degree program, as well as the Alberta Hospital Ponoka's psychiatric nursing program, and is a member of the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
